Faitful Copy, RAM galleri, Oslo

Douglas Fir, 100% wool and solid brass bolts. H: 1000 x W: 400 x L: 1500 mm

Gravity becomes one of the components in this sideboard. The shelves in 100% wool get their strength from the weight placed inside them.  The unit is created with a flat pack construction and solid brass wingnuts and bolts keep it together.

Studio Job

Job Smeets and his partner Nynke Tynagel work together as Studio Job and currently are exhibiting their latest work in the carpenters workshop gallery from 18 March until 8 May 2010. Their work combines fine craftsmanship with a dark undertone while commenting on the condition and attitudes of the modern world.

The figures are cut with a laser from maple, set in Indian rose wood.

More pictures after the jump.
