I always loved everything about this brand and have been riding their hardware for over eight years now. It’s good to see they’re still going and keeping BMX alive on the streets. Beautiful photography of riding and products in this flick book. Good job!

“A set of thirteen prints, one corresponding to each track on the album. The original album artwork of each record sampled was sourced. The artwork was then chopped into loops and shifted into new positions, creating a visual resemblence of sampling within hip-hop music.”

This is one of my favourite record covers It’s Dillinja’s Feel My Pain and In The Grid VIP on the flip. The use of the squares and colours reflect the design of the album Spectrum the two tracks were taken from. Released in 2005 on Valve (VLV017).

The HD format that we are talking about in this case is HD television which has roughly five times more detail over standard definition. This is a great move forward in terms of the opportunities this opens for designers: in essence type is crisper and images are more detailed. However, upscaling standard definition footage or design simply isn’t good enough.

The Swiss National Bank held a competition in 2005 to redesign the Nation’s ninth series of bank notes. The winning design however deemed too avant-garde and was dismissed by the public. Manuela Pfrunder’s design, which won 2nd place, was chosen instead. I actually prefer her design and really look forward to see them in circulation. I think they convey a very Swiss image of efficiency, neutrality and attention to detail.
