The London College of Communication has a new cafe/bistro/meeting space on the ground floor level, designed by LCC alumni Morag Myerscough with Supergroup. The new bar and food counter feature the award winning Plumen pendant lights and lovely, yet pricey snacks and drinks for the emerging creative. The stools featuring 1988 letraset typefaces are used in combination with beautiful color-laminated tables and vintage school chairs (photo to follow!). Job well done!

Tribal DDB Office by i29

My readers might remember that I used grey industrial felt for my last project “hub 5” for two feature walls in a cafe/hot desk space in Switzerland. Well, it seems that i29 has taken it a step or two further with creating this office space entirely in grey industrial felt. I do like the tactile look but feel that some color might enhance the impression. Perhaps it will be a bit less sterile with the actual office stuff in?

Hub 5 - Interior Design

Hub 5 is an interior design project. It is a cafe/hot desking studio for creatives, especially for students, recent graduates and freelancers. Located within the heart of Bern, Switzerland, it is a place to work, meet and relax. It encourages cross-collaboration and interaction with the general public by sharing the space with both user groups. Materials have been carefully chosen to reflect the concept of the contrasting Swiss landscape and to meet the users’ requirements of flexible work environment that entails work, relax and meet.

yellow - almost done

I have recently updated my website and switched from good old manual html to a small and simple content management system. While changing the code I also added a couple of new projects to the site. One of them is ‘yellow’ - an interior design project for a residential 3-bed flat in east London.
